When I was twenty-seven, the unthinkable happened: I had a stroke.
I found myself (for the most part) physically intact with a slight stutter and mild word-finding difficulty.
At the time, I was a workaholic who was unsatisfied in my career, so I took stock in my life and began to do what I loved: write.
This blog chronicles my attempt to balance editing and submitting my manuscript for publication with a career in nursing and time with my small family.
This blog is a chronicle of my experience... I am talking in very general terms about what has happened to me. In no way am I giving medical advice.
If someone shows any of the following symptoms, they need to seek medical attention immediately.

Don't wait... call 911 or emergency medical services as soon as possible!
